Kathy Cascade: Working with Challenging Dog Behavior

May 18 - May 19 at

This workshop has a specific focus on techniques to reduce reactive behavior and also addresses fearfulness and anxiety issues. The goal is to help dogs develop confidence to cope with new situations and environments. This seminar is not appropriate for dogs that are extremely shy, fearful or shut down.

This workshop will include both Tellington TTouch (bodywork) and Confidence Course (groundwork) techniques, and give you skills for working with your dog in kind, clear, safe, and effective ways. We also address handling skills using a no-force method so your dog can “listen” to what you want. Participants will learn how to observe the many ways that dogs let us know how they feel about what we do with them, allowing us to determine the most effective ways of helping them. The workshop offers extensive hands-on practice and helps participants find simple ways to focus their dogs in training. Fearful and nervous dogs will LOVE this class, but this is GREAT for ANY dog/human team and can provide ideal companion training for athletic or sporting dogs. TTouch can improve performance and health and presents solutions to common behavioral and physical problems.

Working spots will be hands on with their dog, and dogs can be provided. Auditors will not bring a dog.

Box lunch provided

Auditing: $195
Working: $349 (limit 10 dogs).
